Generate Log File
The iMETOS 3.3 generates a log file containing a detailed description of the actions performed by the station. This information is useful to identify problems with the station.
To generate a log file please follow the following steps:
1. Open a terminal window on your computer (we recommend Tera Term https://osdn.net/projects/ttssh2/releases/) and select the right serial port, associated with the iMETOS in your system.
2. Enable the Login option in the Tera Term. Menu File -> Log, and select the name and the location for the file that will be generated. We recommend using the station serial number as a part of the name.
3. Depending on the configuration, the station will perform a measurement, usually every 5 minutes, so every 5 minutes you should see the log of the measurement process. If everything is fine, you should see the following text in terminal window:
4. You can wait for the next communication event in the system, that is a configurable parameter in order to get a log of the communication process or you can force a communication pressing the connect button. You should see something similar in your terminal:
5. Send to us the generated file in order to analyse it and give better feedback.
